MSN banner removal in xp

Just few very annoying when the mouse move over the window live msn banner, it will pop up. I want to remove it, so just google and found the following method.

Add the following two line in, C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

127.0.0.1 rad.msn.com
127.0.0.1 rad.live.com

It is a NDS, and simply redirect all network traffice rad.live.com to your PC, it means if msn get the advertisment from those dns, it will fail if we redirect it to local PC.

confirm by > ipconfig /displaydns

it should display the following,

1.0.0.127.in-addr.arpa

Now, no more annoying pop up!
